SICK CITY Signs With TRUSTKILL RECORDS

February 16, 2007

Trustkill Records has announced the signing of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada's SICK CITY. The group, which took part in the Canadian dates on Warped Tour and Taste Of Chaos, as well as a nationwide run with THE CANCER BATS, was recently featured in Alternative Press' "Hometown Heroes" for 2007, which described their sound as containing "hardcore underpinnings," but with singer Josh Youngson placing "a strong emphasis on clean, melodic vocals reminiscent of FAIRWEATHER or SENSES FAIL."

Commented Trustkill President Josh Grabelle: "When I first heard the band's EP 'Where Do We Go From Here', I couldn't stop listening to it for months. The vocals from Josh Youngson are what really struck me; they are anthemic, fresh and exciting. The band demoed some new songs that really knocked me on my ass as well. We are super excited to have these guys on board."

Currently finishing up a support slot on the PAPA ROACH and IT DIES TODAY tour, the band has announced that they will head into the studio in March with producers Kenneth Mount and Zach Odom. A summer release is expected.

SICK CITY formed in early 2005 with Youngson and Joel Neufeld (drums),Dorian Paszkowski (guitar),Dave Grabowski (guitar) and T.J Stevenson (bass). Neufeld, who is the brother of COMEBACK KID frontman Andrew Neufeld, secured the band their first show ever, playing the CD release show for COMEBACK KID's "Wake The Dead".
